A Sherwood Park man has been charged after a drug investigation in the area of Leduc.

Back in April, Leduc RCMP executed two search warrants in Sherwood Park, which resulted in one person being arrested.

After the arrest, police say they searched the suspect's home and vehicle, which resulted in them finding cocaine, cash, digital scales, and drug packaging materials.

Lloyd Wedow, a 67-year-old from Sherwood Park, has been charged with the following:

  • Trafficking a controlled substance.
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance.
  • Possession of proceeds of crime.

Wedow has been released from custody with a court date scheduled for late May.
