The Shell Theatre is getting ready to welcome audiences back into the auditorium.
They recently released their fall lineup for the 2021-22 season.
"We look forward to inviting all of our patrons back to the Shell Theater for these City of Fort Saskatchewan events," said Shell Theatre supervisor Josh Gennings.
The season will start with singer-songwriter Michael Bernard Fitzgerald on Oct.16, followed by the return of the band, the Washboard Union, on Nov.6.
Nov.19 will be the first of two comedy nights on the lineup. It will feature Adam Blank, Steve McGovern and Brad Semotiuk.
Finger-guitarist Calum Graham will be playing once again at the Shell Theatre on Nov.20, and then Ballet Victoria's The Nutcracker will have two performances on Dec.4.
Element Theatre will be putting on The Crucible on Dec.9, and the second comedy night will finish the season off before the new year, with comedians like Noor Kidwai, Ryan Short and Mark McCue.
Christmas with the Barra MacNeils has been cancelled.
"It's important to us to for everybody to know that we're doing everything we can to make sure that everything is as safe as possible at the Shell theatre," added Gennings. "This includes being part of the restriction exemption program."
On top of needing to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test, patrons will have to be masked at the theatre, and staff are increasing sanitization for high-touch areas.
The lineup after the new year should be released in late November.
