It was an exciting day for Bruderheim School on Friday, December 4th.  The Kindergarten to Grade 6 school was successful in a grant application and a cheque presentation from Shell Canada was made in the amount of $25,000.00.  The grant is from Shell's Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) grant program and the funds will focus on new technology for the school.  30 Google Chrome Books and 18 iPads will be purchased in an effort to improve learning.  It is expected the devices and programs will be in place for the end of January.

According to the Elk Island Public School media release, Principal Jeff Huculak said, "It’s really exciting for us to be getting the new technology.  It will make a huge impact on our students and will bring us closer to our goal of a one-to-one student/technology ratio at the school.”

On hand for the presentation were the students, staff, MLA Jessica Littlewood, Wayne Munsterman - Technology Manager, Scotford Manufacturing and Town Councilors Pat Lee and Virginia Differenz.
