Rogers is experiencing an outage that is affecting vital services nationwide.

In a statement made this morning through the company's Twitter page, Rogers said they are working to restore their wireless and wireline services as soon as possible.

Services such as 9-1-1 calls from cell phones, Interac, real-time transit information and internet are down for all Rogers customers.

Many businesses in the Fort Saskatchewan area are running on a cash-only or credit system as of Friday (July 8) morning.

Up-to-date information on the outage as the restoration progresses can be found here.
