Strathcona County RCMP is looking for the public's help in finding a man allegedly connected to a murder back in 2021.

In September 2021, police responded to a vehicle fire near Township Road 530 and Range Road 221.

Police say they found a dead body inside the burnt vehicle. The victim was identified as 29-year-old Vanessa Silva. Her death was deemed suspicious at the time.

Almost eight months later, following an extensive investigation, Police identified and arrested 25-year-old Cordell Kennedy as a suspect in the case.

Now, police say they've identified another suspect, 24-year-old Bith Chuol. A warrant has been issued for his arrest, and he's been charged with the following:

  • First-Degree-murder
  • Kidnapping
  • Breaking and entering
  • Extortion

Police are asking for the public's help in locating Chuol, who has ties to Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, and Manitoba.

Chuol is described as:

  • Dark complexion
  • 6'4''
  • 140 pounds
  • Black hair
  • Brown eyes

Police say that Chuol is considered armed and dangerous and are asking the public not to approach him if they believe they've found him.
