The Fort Fury Midget B girls hockey took on Lac La Biche Saturday night at the JRC in the first game of provincial playdowns.

The Fury were unfortunately unable to win, as Lac La Biche won 9 - 0.

The Fury are aiming to come back strong as they play the second and final game of the series next Saturday in Lac La Biche.

It was a busy weekend for the Peewee fury.

Saturday the girls were on the road where they faced off against the Wetaskiwin Jr Ice ending the game with a 6-6 tie.

The Fury then earned their first regular season win last night at the sportsplex with a 4-3 win over the CNN Spurs.

The fury were down 2-1 after the first, with a goal from Brenna Sinclair ending out the first.

Second period saw the girls take the lead with Emily Connell and Breanna Patton bringing the team up by one heading into the third.

Erin Houle got the only goal in the third, bringing the score to 4-3 to beat the spurs.
