The Shell Theatre has announced its 2022/2023 season line-up.

From big names in the music industry to performances featuring circus, song, dance and theatre displays, there’s no shortage of entertainment at the Shell Theatre.

October, expect to see performances from Nova Scotia rapper, Classified, Tim and the Glory Boys, JUNO award-winning singer Serena Ryder, and Cirque Alfonse performing “Animal, a Farm Story.”

On Nov. 12, Randy Bachman, founding member of bands, The Guess Who and Bachman–Turner Overdrive and host of radio program Vinyl Tap, will host an evening of music and storytelling.

“He's contributed to Canada and the Canadian music scene in so many ways with hit after hit. But also, supporting so many great musicians as they began their careers as well,” said Shell Theatre supervisor, Josh Gennings.

His son Tal Bachman will also be in attendance.

November and December will feature acts such as the Missoula Children’s Theatre performing “Hansel and Gretel”, the return of Kanata Comedy Night, and “An East Coast Christmas” by The Barra MacNeils.

The new year will see Aaron Goodvin with special guest Hailey Benedict, the Edmonton Pops Orchestra performing songs from Broadway, and The Slocan Ramblers and multiple others.

“We've got lots in October, lots in November, lots in December. We’re excited for everything that’s coming in for the new season, and it’s one where you’re going to see lots of great talent,” added Gennings.

Additionally, the Theatre is testing a subscription service for its Professional Series and Classic Albums Live. Theatregoers can access 11 Professional Series shows or two Classic Albums Live performances for a single price. A one-month pass for the Dow Centennial Centre Fitness Centre is included in the price, as well as one entry for "Season Series Artist Signed Guitar Draw", a "Behind the Scenes" tour through the theatre, and front-of-line access for all special presentations.
