The wild west is knocking on the city of Edmonton’s door.

The 41st annual Canadian Finals Rodeo and Farmfair International are at Northlands this week. Also, the inaugural Rodeo Week is being held at Cook County Saloon, with special guests Hey Romeo, Miss Rodeo Canada 2015 contestants and 2014 CFR competitors. This is an exciting time the city of Edmonton. Every year since 1974, the CFR has attracted the best rodeo athletes, stock and personnel in the country. The first edition of the CFR drew 24,000 dedicated rodeo fans to the Edmonton Gardens. Now, more than 90,000 guests come to enjoy the CFR at Rexall Place.

The Farmfair International also draws 90,000 guests looking to network, show and sell top quality livestock at the Edmonton Expo Centre each year.

The CFR is going on at Rexall Place from November 5-9. The Farmfair International is going on from November 4-9. Tickets are still available from Ticketmaster and include admission to both the CFR and the Farmfair International.

On Tuesday night, my Dad and I went to the Ranch Rodeo at the Expo Centre. We go every year because my Dad’s friend is the announcer and he offers us free tickets. The Ranch Rodeo gives people an opportunity to see what the various jobs are that the ranchers have to do. I have also been to the CFR. I recommend going if you are interested in horses.

So look forward to reading my blogs in the future. If you have already got your ticket(s) to the Rodeo, you won’t be disappointed!
