Police have arrested three Morinville residents after finding guns and drugs at a local residence.

Last Friday (Apr. 1), the Morinville RCMP, with help from the St. Albert RCMP, searched a home on Grandin Drive. During the search, police located: 

  • Five firearms, including a loaded shotgun 
  • Three replicas firearms
  • One ounce of cocaine 
  • Five to six litres of GHB, 
  • 6.8 oz of Psilocybin 
  • 340 packs of contraband cigarettes 

Wendy Colibaba, 43, Joseph Benoit, 61, and Adam Crossan, 36, were charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of weapons offences.  

“We hope that by removing these dangerous drugs and guns, we have taken a step to ensure the ongoing safety to our community,” said Corporal Jeff Sutherland of the Morinville RCMP. 

All three were released from custody and are due in court on Apr. 28.
