More than 10 cm of snow and frigid cold is on the way.

Environment Canada says the area will get 5-10 cm of snow on Monday (Jan. 3) with a couple more centimeters in the evening.

More snow is likely on Tuesday.

Temperature for the work week will also be bitter, ranging from daily highs of -20 C to -30 C — Environment Canada warns of frostbite.

The weather agency says a break from the deep freeze likely won’t appear until Sunday (Jan. 9) when the high is -4 C.
