A group of male firefighters showed their support for their female colleagues.

Last year, a group of lady firefighters from Lamont County got together and posed for a Movember photo to show their support for the men's health initiative.

The photo gave Lamont district fire chief Scott Calder the idea for the men to do a photoshoot of their own this year, backing Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

"We do have a few female firefighters in our departments and we'd like to support them as much as they support us," he explained.

Calder got together a group of about a dozen men from different departments in Lamont County, including Bruderheim, Lamont, Chipman and Andrew.

Captain Correen Hosack of the Bruderheim Fire Department provided the firefighters with custom t-shirts and her daughter Amanda Dobie provided pink masks and took the photo.

"The women in our lives all deserve as much support as they can get," Calder added. "If we can do even a little gesture like that to show that we support them, it's something."
