Oilers' forward, Jesse Puljujarvi, is embracing his new nickname.

The Finnish-born player dressed as a bison wearing a crown for a late Halloween party.

Puljujarivi came to be known as The Bison King after a close encounter with a bison at Elk Island National Park in October. He described the animal as “nice and “kind.”

After the Oilers scored two key goals in a 6-5 victory over the New York Rangers on Friday (Nov.5) night, fans chanted Bison King at Puljujarivi while talking to reporters after the game. He responded with a heart-shaped gesture.

The Oilers are currently 9-1-0; Puljujarivi has five goals and seven assists this season.
