Two Sherwood Park brothers are reflecting on the “experience of a lifetime.”

Jagger and Dawson Glowastky pitched their company, Young Farts RV Parts, on an episode of Dragons’ Den last Thursday (Dec.16) and wound-up walking away with a deal.

The brothers were hoping to receive $150,000 for 10 per cent of their RV parts business. Instead, they struck a deal for $150,000 for 12 per cent of the company with Michele Romanow, co-founder and president of Clearco, director of Vail Resorts, Freshii and other ventures.

“It’s been really exciting,” said Jagger. “The gratification I’ve gotten from everybody I have in my life has just been awesome; it’s been a really, really great experience.”

Jagger admitted a deal with any of the Dragons would have been great, adding it was “surreal” to have all of them make an offer.

Before entering the den, they were hoping for a deal with Romanow as she owns RVZ, an Airbnb-style company for RV’s.

“We’re really moving into e-commerce, and we do know she’s probably the big e-commerce one. But they all brought so many different things to the table that any one of them would have been amazing.”

Now that they have a deal, there is lots of paperwork to be done. So far, they’ve had one meeting with Romanow and are still working out the kinks and making sure the deal is a good fit for both of them.

Since the episode aired, Jagger said there’s been plenty of hype around their business, adding their Facebook page has grown, and they have plenty of people interacting online with them now. Sales have gone up slightly; however, the boys aren’t expecting a big jump until the spring.

“Unfortunately, nobody’s really camping in December in Canada, but hopefully, with a name like ours, maybe people will remember us by the time spring rolls around.”
