Gibbons has elected a new councillor after Monday’s (Sept. 12) municipal by-election.

Unofficial results released by the town shows that Dale Yushchyshyn won the election with 93 total votes (37 per cent). He was up against four other candidates.

Robert Simonowits came in second with 63 votes while Daniel Farrer was third with 59 votes.

Yushchyshyn will take over Darren McCann’s spot on council, who resigned back in May after sexual misconduct allegations came to light.
