The Fort Fury Peewee girls hockey club is hosting a fundraiser for a special cause, the team is raising funds to attend the Wickenheiser tournament and it will be hosted by Hayley herself. Ernie Smith, Fury Pee Wee head coach says "Its a phenomenal experience for any female hockey player" Smith went on to say "This tournament sees female players from all over, there was even a team from Mexico that attended last year" The tournament takes place this November 26 - 29 in Calgary and the Pee-Wee girls need help to make this dream come true.This Saturday the girls will be holding a bottle drive from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and the Sportsplex. Every one is welcome and encouraged to drop off bottles for the girls to tally up so they can get to their tournament. Smith would also like to thanks Mayor Gale Katchur for her generous personal donation to this goal.
The Pee-wee girl are also in need of a goaltender for this up coming season, if anyone is interested they are asked to check out the Fury website.
