An exciting event is coming to Fort Saskatchewan this month that will help industry thrive in the community.
On May 25, Strathcona County will be hosting a supply chain forum at the Shell Theatre. This event aims to connect small businesses with many of the region's major industrial companies.
Mark Morrissey, the director of economic development for the city, said that this forum will help these businesses, “get in the gate and create some awareness of the products and services they offer.”
Attendees will be able to ask questions and speak directly to the representatives from companies like Imperial, Keyera, Shell, Inter Pipeline, ATCO, Suncor, Dow, Wolf Midstream, North West Redwater Partnership, Pembina and Nutrien.
Morrissey said this will aid people in “understanding what these companies' procurement processes are, what requirements they have of their vendors and how to get on their preferred vendor's list.”
The forum will begin with presentations at 4:30 p.m. and then a networking session will follow at 6 p.m.
Pre-registration is required by May 24 and can be done directly at the Shell Theatre.
