It's going to be a big weekend in Fort Saskatchewan.

Fort Saskatchewan will welcome five U15 AAA teams for the 2022 Hockey Alberta U15 AAA Provincial Championships at the JRC. The tournament starts Thursday (Mar.24) and ends on Sunday.

The five teams will compete in a tournament-style format to determine the 2022 U15 AAA Provincial Champion. The first three days will be a round-robin with the bronze and gold medal games held on the final day. The bronze medal match will occur at 10 a.m., and the top teams will play for gold at 1 p.m.

All five teams competing are the Fort Saskatchewan Enhance It Rangers, St. Albert Gregg Distributors Sabres, Sherwood Park United Cycle Flyers, Okotoks Oilers and Airdrie Xtreme.

There will be opening ceremonies on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. The Fort Saskatchewan Rangers will play their first game at 7:30 p.m. against Airdrie.

Event tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for students and seniors. Day passes are half price, and children under 12 are free.
