A Fort Saskatchewan man has a plan for his recent lottery win.
The Western Canada Lottery Corporation says Reginald Reardon won $156,195 on a Lotto 6/49 draw.
Reardon purchased his winning ticket at the Fort Saskatchewan Shell on Town Crest Road. He returned to the store a couple of weeks after the draw to check his ticket.
“I scanned the ticket at the store and couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” he said. “Whoever sees the video of me figuring out the amount I won is going to have a good laugh.”
“I called the store clerk over and had her confirm what I won,” he continued. “I really couldn’t believe it!”
The winner added he has one big plan for his windfall.
“I’m going to buy a motorcycle and ride it to Newfoundland to visit my family. Buying a motorcycle has always been a dream of mine.”
Reardon won his prize by matching five of the six main draw numbers and the bonus number on the Jan.12 Lotto 6/49 draw. The game’s second-highest prize was split by two tickets, Reardon’s and another ticket purchased somewhere in Winnipeg.
