Local players and coaches will be getting superior training this season.

The Fort Saskatchewan Minor Soccer Association has brought in Sean Fleming to help train coaches and develop the curriculum for new programs.

"We are pleased to announce that we are partnering with Sean Fleming and his Soccer is Everything program to advance our technical program," said a statement from Fort Saskatchewan Minor Sports.

Fleming is one of the most successful National Youth Coaches in Canada, qualifying for two U17 World Cups and achieving Canada's highest ever ranking at the World Cup level.

He is one of the original members of the Canadian Soccer Association Long Term Player Development Committee.

"I've always heard great things about the community," said Fleming.

Currently residing in Sherwood Park, Fleming holds the highest coaching license in Canada.

He added that his extensive experience coaching players of all age levels will be a great benefit to a growing soccer program.
