The Fort Saskatchewan Furniture Bank has just received a helpful donation, courtesy of MIX 107 and South Fort Chevrolet.

The furniture bank supports individuals in the community who are leaving abusive relationships, transitioning out of homelessness, refugees, and in financial hardship.

“This feels really, really good. We will be able to put it towards lots of things,” said Barb Larson, the director of the furniture bank.

The furniture bank intends to use these funds for items like mattress protectors, bed frames, and blankets.

“I want to thank everybody for the community support that we do get. We couldn't do this without the community and volunteers.”

Larson indicated that the furniture bank is most in need of kitchen tables at the moment.

You can reach out to volunteer or request items from the Fort Saskatchewan Furniture Bank on their Facebook page.
