Here are the youth programs and activities that are organized by the Fort Saskatchewan Public Library. All programs are free. Call 780-998-4275 to register.

The Families First Fall sessions of Books, Sing and Sign, and Parent-Child Mother Goose (infant and toddler session) are held in the program room. For more information, and to register please call Families First at 780-998-5595 ext. 226.

Peek-a-boo Play for infants 12 months and under. Nursery rhymes, bounces, and tickles. Mondays October 5 – 26 (except October 12) from 2 to 3 PM.

Time for Tots for ages 1 – 2 years. Stories, colouring, and playtime. Tuesdays October 6 – 27 from 11 to 11:30 AM OR Thursdays October 1 – 29 from 10 to 10:30 AM.

Alphabet Soup for ages 3 to 5 years. Stories, crafts, and the letter recognition (letters E – H). Tuesdays October 6 – 27 from 10 to 10:45 AM OR Thursdays October 1 – 29 from 10:45 to 11:30 AM OR Thursdays October 1 – 29 from 2 to 2:45 PM.

Duplo Family Drop-In on Sundays October 4 – 25 (except October 11) from 2 to 4 PM in the program room. For families with young children.

Junior Games Night for ages 5 to 12 (kids under 8 require a parent). Come to the library on Monday, October 5 and play board games from 7 to 8 PM.

International Pen Friends for ages 8 to 17 on Wednesday, October 7 from 330 to 4:30 PM in the teen area. Enhance your writing skills and make global friendships. Space is limited; call to register.

Junior Lego for ages 5 to 12 (kids under 8 require a parent). Build creations with Lego. Monday, October 19 from 7 to 8:30 PM in the program room. Space is limited; call to register.

Junior Book Club for ages 8 to 12 & parents meets on Monday, October 26 from 7 to 8 PM in the program room. See website for the book selection. New members are welcome!

Jr. Robotics Club for ages 5 to 10 on Wednesday, October 14 from 630 to 7:30 PM in the children's area. Come meet the library's new friends, Dot and Dash! They'll teach you about robots and how to make them do awesome tricks.

Robotics club for ages 11 to 17 on Wednesday, October 7 from 630 to 8:30 PM in the teen area. Come learn to program and create robots with Lego Mindstorms! All levels of experience welcome.

Take Your Robot to the Movies on Saturday, October 24 from 1 to 4 PM. Build a robot friend to sit with (or even inside of) and enjoy complimentary popcorn and juice while watching the show! The movie that will be playing is Disney Pixar's Wall-E.

Robot building will be one hour starting at 1 PM. Then the movie will start at 2 PM. Open to families of all ages. Registration is not required. Building supplies provided but cushions recommended for your viewing comfort (chairs will be provided for parents).

Movie Matinee on Friday, October 30 from 2 to 4 PM in the program room. Drop in to see a special Halloween showing of Spooky Buddies! Popcorn and drinks provided.

HalloTEEN Night Drop in for ages 12 to 17 on Friday, October 30 from 6 to 8 PM. Come dressed up for a costume contest (with prizes), gross-looking (but tasty) food, mutant action-figure making, and a movie (the original Poltergeist, PG-13). Food sponsored by the Rotary Club.

Children's Halloween Drop-In on Saturday, October 31 from 1 to 3 PM in the program room. Come in your costume to get spooky treats, and a play a few spooky games. That's not all, you can enter for the library's Halloween Party Draw Prize.
