Some local bowlers had the chance to show off their skills.

On Dec.12, Fort Lanes hosted the Edmonton 5-Pin Association's Pro Challenge tournament. The annual event matches up Youth Bowling Canada (YBC) seniors (15-19 years of age) with a pro bowler from the Edmonton area.

Each team is made up of three YBC members and one pro bowler. Usually, teams are also coached by a 'legend' but were unable to this year due to the pandemic.

Bowlers came from Fort Lanes, Sherwood Bowl, St. Albert Bowling Centre and KJ Bowl.

Form Fort Saskatchewan, Conor Prather's team placed first and Mason Tomchyshyn was on the second-place team.

Prather's best score in the games was 190 -- Tomchyshyn bowled 210 in his best game.
