We are in the final stretch of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
 
Currently, Team Canada is in 16th place for medals. Canadian athletes have earned three gold medals, four silver medals and seven bronze medals.
 
The medal-winning events include swimming, rowing, weightlifting, diving, judo, athletics, and softball.
 
The closing ceremony for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games is on Sunday (Aug.8) at 5 a.m.

Football (Soccer) - Women Gold Medal Match

Stephanie Labbé (goalie) – Stony Plain
The Canadian women’s team beat the U.S. Monday morning (Aug.2) and will advance to the gold medal game against Sweden on Thursday at 8 p.m. This is the first time ever that Canada will play for gold in women’s soccer.
 
Cycling – Track – Women's Keirin
 
Kelsey Mitchell – Sherwood Park
You can watch Mitchell compete in the first round for the Women's Keirin on Wednesday at 1:20 a.m.
 
Artistic Swimming – Team Technical Routine
 
Halle Pratt – Edmonton
You can watch Pratt compete in the final for the team technical routine on Friday at 4:30 a.m.
 
Athletics
 
One notable athlete to watch for is Andre De Grasse. He placed first in the semi-finals, setting a new Canadian record of 19.73 seconds. De Grasse will compete in the final for the men’s 200m dash on Wednesday at 6:55 a.m.
