New Edmonton Transit System (ETS) fares go into effect today, February 1st, which means there will be an increase to the ETS portion of the Fort Saskatchewan Transit integrated fares, as well as the books of 10 ETS ticket packs which are sold in Fort Saskatchewan. The increase is due to an increase to the Edmonton Transit rates based on their 2016 operating budget says Manager of Transportation Chad Paddick. There is no increase to local Fort Saskatchewan Transit or ETS route 198 which travels to Edmonton from the Fort. Paddick went on to say " Only those who buy tickets to travel around Edmonton will be affected by the fare change." and that " Local riders will not be affected."

Riders who purchase tickets in Fort Saskatchewan to travel around Edmonton should note the following new rate changes effective today, February 1st 2016.
