It was another successful year for Fort Saskatchewan's Enchanted Forest event.
Between the end of November and Tuesday (Jan.7), local businesses and organizations were able to showcase their creative thoughts on what the perfect Christmas tree would be.
With full creativity to do whatever they wanted with their trees, nearly 50 businesses competed, setting up tress in four different locations around Fort Saskatchewan: city hall, the library, the Dow Centennial Centre (DCC) and the Shell Theatre.
At the end of the event, a number of awards were handed out.
"Just because the Shell Theatre and Dow Centennial Centre mostly see probably more people than city hall, along with the public library, we did a most beautiful, most unique and a people's choice for each of those locations," said Arthur Lewandowski, community events and tourism specialist with the city.
In total, around 330 people voted for the people's choice, but Lewandowski estimated tens of thousands of people got to look at the trees, considering the traffic the DCC and Shell Theatre get everyday.
Even though there wasn't a grand prize, the winners in each category received a certificate and those who voted for their favorite tree were entered into a draw.
Below is a list of the winners.
