**updated at 3:39 pm City of Fort Saskatchewan release**

The City of Fort Saskatchewan has an update to the statement released earlier today on the electrical fire at the Dow Centennial Centre.  It was a surge to the electrical system that created a small fire, and left the DCC with no power.  An evacuation took place at 11:30 am and no injuries were reported.

The City has an electrical contractor on site, completing an assessment and necessary repairs.   The City has a time frame in mind for business to resume:

“We need time to evaluate the building and to complete repairs to the electrical system, so we will remain closed for the rest of today, but we will reopen at 5:30 a.m. tomorrow,” explains Recreation Director Barb Shuman.

As far as scheduled events for tonight, the City reports that all program participants and sport teams will be contacted.

“We are sorry to have this disruption to our programs and services and we apologize for the inconvenience, but we are very grateful that no one was injured,” stated Recreation Director Barb Shuman.

The Primary Care Network has tweeted "Please note Stand Tall To Osteoporosis from 6pm-8pm tonight will be relocated to Alberta Heartland Primary Care Network at #206, 9821-108 St"

If Mix 107 hears of any other programming being rescheduled, it will be passed along.
