A truck stop could be coming to the industrial area near Josephburg Road and Highway 15 after City Council voted in favour of a land use change Tuesday night.
Councillor Frank Garritsen notes "I get kind of excited when a developer comes in and wants to designate land use in an industrial area." Garritsen says "It's a sign there still business going on in Fort Saskatchewan and the developer in the industrial area has opportunities." Garritsen adds "It's a win win for the developer and the City."
Intersection improvements at Highway 15 and 119 Street will be required.
A public hearing will take place at the next Council meeting in two weeks about TAG developments changing the land use with adjacent landowners being notified by mail.
