A local school was been placed under hold and secure.
Early Thursday morning (Apr.4), the RCMP received complaints from Lilian Schick School about possible threats towards the school. As a precaution, the building was placed under the protocol.
Police have gone to the school and no threat was observed. Classes resumed as normal throughout the day.
Constable Mike Hibbs from the Morinville RCMP confirmed there was no immediate danger to the students. An RCMP school liaison officer remained on site for the rest of the day.
The origin of the potential threat is still under investigation.
