Edmonton Oilers forward Jesse Puljujarvi has filed to trademark his signature nickname.
Puljujarvi filed the application on Nov. 15 in both the United States and Canada; the 23-year-old plans on creating shirts and pants, jackets, hats and caps, and athletic uniforms with the name 'Bison King'.

Puljujarivi came to be known as The Bison King after a close encounter with a bison at Elk Island National Park in October. He described the animal as “nice and kind.”
The Oilers are currently 16-5-0; Puljujarivi has seven goals and ten assists this season.
