The Bantam 2B rangers faced off against Onoway on home ice at the Jubilee Recreation Center.  The tough Onoway team were only down by one goal until the 3rd period.   It was a tiering game where the Rangers started out a little slow but gained tremendous momentum in the 3rd period.

Bantam player William Kelly said it was a good game and that their opponents came out hitting hard and a lot.  He'd like to see his team tone down their time in the penalty box and connect more on passes.

Head coach Don McGeachy thought the boys played well and were "positionally outstanding"  He commended a couple of his leading goal scorers, Jake Stevenson and Riley Welch for each getting 2 goals in the game as well as credit to goalie Brayden Smith.

McGeachy says heading into the next game he hopes to have the boys spend less time in the penalty box.  Heading into next practice they'll be working on passing and positional awareness with and without the puck.

The final score in this match was Rangers 5, Onoway 2
The Rangers hit the ice for more tiering games next weekend
